Social Road Riding with an opportunity to enhance your skills
Join us Wednesday evenings departing at 6:30. Beginning
in early May weather permitting. We will ride rain or shine so make sure you
are prepared.
Wednesday Rides
A typical Ride will start with 15 to 30 min of a warm up and/or an opportunity to learn a new skill where we will ride as a full group. From there we may split up into a little quicker group and a more social paced group. We will always come back togeather at some specified meeting points . Rides will be an hour and a half to two hours.
Road Riding Skills
We will work on skills throughout the summer from the very basic of cliping in and getting started, emergancy braking, eating and drinking on the bike, climbing out of the saddle, group ride etiquette and even some drafting.
Social Time
We encourage everyone to stick around and get to know your fellow cyclist after the rides so bring a warm jacket or change of clothes and a post ride snack or beverage
Sunday Rides
Two Sundays a month we will head out of the city to explore some of the best road riding Southern Alberta has to offer. These rides will be longer in length to places like Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis just to name a few
Gravel Rides
New for 2024. We will introduce gravel rides every other Thursday starting from varrious locations around Calgary. We will be able to introduce you to some new routes and take the opportunity to learn some bike handling skills along the way. Learn about Body position, braking, and cornering

All ride information is easily accessed through our Team Snap Integration. Notifications are sent out prior to every ride.
We will ride rain or shine, there are many times in the early summer when it may be raining Downtown Calgary but not where we are riding.
Expect the exact opposite of this! We encourage all riders to come out with us on rides and learn the basics of group riding. We will
typically have a group ride at 20 to 25km/h and a group at 25 to 28km/h. Both with guides.
You will just need your membership with TCR and a
Citizen licence from ABA. A drop bar road bike in good working condition plus a helmet and a positive attitude!
