Thanks to innovations in running shoe foam and F1 tire technology, combined with our extensive research into rolling efficiency, impedance, and damping, we discovered that incorporating new materials could greatly improve bar tape. By utilizing a combination of SILCAthane, SILCAlon, and 3M Visco-elastic adhesive, rather than just one type of foam, we were able to enhance multiple desired features. These advancements result in a softer and more comfortable texture, superior grip in both wet and dry conditions, improved vibration reduction, and a 3-5x increase in durability compared to traditional tape materials. Additionally, we have created a new adhesive-backed butterfly design to cover the lever clamp area without adding bulk, as well as a high grip finishing tape and expanding aluminum/composite end plugs for a flawless finish.
