The GRX wheel is designed for gravel rides that are faster, further, and more fun. In order to maintain lateral tire stability at low air pressures, Shimano took into account the complex relationship between tire size, rim width, air pressure, and tire lateral rigidity. This resulted in a rim width that is optimized for 32-50c tires. Furthermore, we carefully balanced rim weight, strength, and profile to create a top-performing gravel wheel.
