Thanks to ACE Technology which ran over 34,000 possible frame iterations, BMC was able to find the perfect way to accommodate a disc fork while only adding 18 grams. Most disc builds will add 60+ grams to the bikes total mass.
To accommodate disc brakes, the back end must be extended but BMC found a way to do so by only 8mm. This allows the bike to remain nimble while making room for the comfortable brake modulation that comes with discs. More confidence in your braking power on the road will result in a willingness and confidence to hit higher speeds.
